Duomni is a mobile app for couples, made in Ukraine, that keeps a shared wishlist, birthdays and anniversaries, and weekend ideas, and reminds you two weeks before each date with gift picks ready.
Why we’re building an app for couples
The people closest to us keep telling us what they want: “I want the same perfume my friend wears”, “let’s go there sometime”. It’s easy to remember in the moment and nearly impossible six months later. Before a birthday, all that’s left is googling “what to gift” the night before and a gift card picked up on the way: still a gift, just not the one they once mentioned.
It isn’t about not caring. Memory just isn’t built to hold a passing remark for half a year. So Duomni saves those phrases in one sentence and brings them back when they matter: before a date it reminds you about the gift with the price and a link, and on Thursday it suggests weekend ideas.
How Duomni differs from the tools you already use
- Notes. You can write it down there, but a note doesn’t know about the date and won’t remind you, so it gets lost among hundreds of others.
- Calendar. A calendar knows the date, but reminds you on the day itself and has no idea what to gift.
- A chat for two. Everything drowns in the conversation, and to keep a surprise you have to hide it from the very person you’re chatting with.
- A wishlist. You keep a wishlist yourself, for everyone. In Duomni the wishlist is shared by the two of you, tied to your dates, and has room for surprises.
- Question-of-the-day apps. Duomni has no games, daily tasks or streak counters. One job: remember, and remind you on time.
How we think about the product
- Five seconds, one hand. No categories or fields to pick: you write it as it is, AI sorts the text into fields, and you confirm.
- The right thing at the right moment. On a regular day Duomni shows a countdown to the next date, on Thursday it suggests weekend ideas, and two weeks before a date it puts together gift picks.
- Useful, not habit-forming. No daily tasks and no “question of the day”. At most three notifications a week and quiet hours from 10 PM to 9 AM.
- For two, as equals. No roles like “the one who forgets” and “the one who wants”: both add entries, both get reminders, and only the author sees a surprise.
Privacy and surprises
Duomni keeps personal things, so we don’t sell data and don’t show ads. AI parses your entries only with your permission, and you can correct any field with a tap.
Only you see a surprise: it’s not in your partner’s list, feed or notifications. For details on data, see the Privacy policy.
Where we are now: launching on the App Store and Google Play
Duomni is made in Ukraine. The app is preparing to launch on iPhone and Android, in Ukrainian first and then in English. To see how wishes, dates and reminders work, visit the Duomni couples app home page.
